Thursday the 15th.
On my way to the Amsterdam Coffee Festival, I started the day with a Flat White from Jamie Oliver’s counter at Gatwick airport.
I received a 12oz under extracted, boiling hot beverage. I couldn’t drink this.
Fortunately, once arrived at the Amsterdam Coffee Festival I received a refreshingly smooth Nitro Cold Brew from Bitter + Real (http://bitterandreal.nl/) then a kicking Flat White.
Followed by an Ethiopian batch brew from Five Elephant. (http://www.fiveelephant.com/)
A double Macchiato made with my favourite “The Captain” and followed by a double Macchiato made “The Party” from The Roasting Party.(http://theroastingparty.co.uk/)
By that time I was ready to dance on the ceiling!
After all that excitement, I needed to calm down with the help of a refreshingly crisp Rwandan Coffee (made with a V60), a floral Nicaraguan Coffee (Kalita) and a well balanced Brazilian Coffee (V60) from White Label Coffee Roasters (https://whitelabelcoffee.nl/).
Then I have some fun time with a cupping session from Lot Sixty One (http://lotsixtyonecoffee.com/)
On the menu, we cupped 2 Ethiopian (Yirgacheffe and Hunkute), 3 Kenyan and 1 Colombian – Sorry I cannot remember the provenance of the beans. the crisp lemony flavour of the Yirgacheff was my favourite.
Later, when we started feeling the heat, I enjoyed a cold brew from Minor Figures (http://www.minorfigures.com/)
After this, my caffeine intake was way over the roof!! However on my way to the airport I enjoyed a last Cold Brew.
What a great caffeine day!
